The Gospel of John
Using the Gospel of John as our guide we will be adding what the other gospels said to give us a complete timeline for the passion week. Empasis will also be on what Jesus has to say in the last week of his phyical live.

Coffee Talk
"I'm not religious, I'm spiritual." Have you ever heard this, or said it? If you've ever felt disconnected from the Church but yearn to know God (if God is real), you're not alone. If you are waiting for answers to find you, let's begin to search for them together. We'll be meeting in coffeehouses throughout LA to read "Blue Like Jazz" and discuss religion, Jesus, culture, and how they intersect and affect who we are becoming.

A Good Stiff Drink
Is Christianity the only true religion? Was Jesus completely God? Has science disproved the Bible? Our group will drink deeply of the truths of Scripture and examine why our faith is trustworthy. This group will study the writings of GK Chesterton, the man who convinced CS Lewis to be a Christian. We’ll enjoy supportive fellowship, and feature great CBTL coffee and tea each week!

Everyday Spirituality
All of us want to grow in our faith and yet somehow we are not sure exactly how we do that. We are often told to read the bible and pray more, but if your like me that is easier said than done. What if there were practical activities that could help us experience God and grow closer to him. What if I told you that these practices are ancient and many people across denominations have practiced them and have grown in their faith. We invite you to journey with us as we learn from the book, “The Sacred Way” the many spiritual practices for everyday life!

Write cards with words of encouragement, sympathy and love for the congregation.

Pray Without Ceasing
Grow in Christ and learn to pray for others.
Type of Group: Spiritual growth with a strong focus on prayer.
When: Thursdays 7:00pm

V.A. Ministry
This group is focused on ministering to the people at the V.A in Westwood. Members will host a Sunday afternoon Bible Study and a time of fellowship with the veterans.
