Sit comfortably and relax.  Take a deep breath.  Exhale.  Repeat this deep breathing.  On each inhale, welcome the presence of God’s Spirit and be thankful for a blessing that God has given.  On each exhale, release anxious thoughts about the upcoming day to God.  Inhale asking for strength and help from God.  Exhale your striving to do things on your own.  Practice this breathing prayer for a few moments until you begin to quietly settle into God’s presence.  Enjoy a time of simple peace and quiet alone with God.  If your mind begins to rush anxiously, just repeat the breathing prayer as you refocus on God.
